Hyewon Woo (b.1987) was born in Seoul, South Korea.
She started having piano lessons at the age of 5 and organ lessons at the age of 18.
She studied organ at the Korea National University of Arts, Seoul with Ja -kyung Oh.
She also studied Harpsichord with Hee-jeong Kim.
In 2010 she received the Grasberg Scholarship at the Arp Schnitger Competition in Germany.
After completing her bachelor's studies in Seoul, she moved to Germany in 2011 to continue studying organ with Prof. Wolfgang Zerer and piano with Caroline Weichert at the Hochschule fur Musik und Theater in Hamburg, Germany.
