Matti Pohjoisaho (b. 1990 in Finland) began his musical training at the age of eleven with piano and organ. He has studied church music and organ playing at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki from the year 2009, under the direction of Olli Porthan. Before that, from 2007-2009 he studied organ at the Kaustinen College of Music with Christian Ahlskog. During the spring of 2012 he studied as an Erasmus student at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam with Jacques van Oortmerssen. He has given several solo recitals around Finland and in the Netherlands. Matti Pohjoisaho has also studied harpsichord with Kati Hämäläinen and composing with Harri Viitanen. Matti Pohjoisaho is a member of the board in the Organum Society.
